J. Matthew Barnett

Matthew Barnett is the Radioactive Air Task Lead at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, Washington; he has also been an adjunct faculty member at the Washington State University Tri-Cities. He is active in supporting the U.S. Department of Energy activities associated with 40 CFR 61, Subpart H. Matthew is the current chair of ANSI/HPS N13, Radiation Protection, and an active member of ISO TC 85/SC 2/WG 14, Air Control and Monitoring . His professional interests include environmental radiation detection and sampling, biota dose assessment, liquid scintillation spectrometry, and radioactive airborne emissions. He received his MSE and BSE degrees in engineering from Arizona State University. His personal interests include snowboarding and following financial markets.
